What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking a Student Support Program Manager to support the mission of the university. This position will support the Department of Occupational Therapy. The Student Support Program Manager is integral to fostering student success throughout their academic journey, from enrollment to graduation and beyond. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive support in both student affairs and clinical education domains, collaborating closely with faculty, particularly the Director of Student Affairs and the Director of Clinical Education, as well as program staff. By facilitating a supportive environment, this position plays a critical role in promoting student retention and success.

A Bachelor’s Degree and two years of relevant work experience is required. Four years of relevant work experience is preferred. 

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do

  • Directly manage, advise, and support students with various academic and administrative needs including course requirements, registration, financial aid inquiries, non-academic support, licensure, and adherence to program policies and procedures.
  • Build and nurture a network of clinical placement sites, ensuring a diverse, professional, and enriching experience for students.
  • Support students throughout the placement process, collaborating closely with students, faculty directors, and the Student Support team to provide consistent guidance.
  • Evaluate clinical sites in collaboration with faculty directors and Student Support team, initiating affiliation agreement processes and ensuring compliance with program and accreditation requirements.
  • Manage academic databases, student files, communication with students and clinical placement records while strictly adhering to FERPA policies regarding the handling of student records and ensuring the safeguarding of sensitive information.
  • Assist the Student Support team in planning and executing student engagement events, including, but not limited to, onboarding, pre-orientation, orientation, clinical education preparation, graduation programming, alumni events, as well as supporting student communication outlets (newsletters, announcements, social media, etc.).
  • Oversee strategic initiatives related to clinical placement and student support which could include contract management and growth, maintaining and investing in current clinical partnerships, recruiting and growing potential clinical partners, building an alumni network, enhancing collaboration between Baylor student associations and professional organizations, etc.
  • Develop and maintain clinical education sites and affiliation agreements in alignment with program goals.
  • Nurture campus organization partnerships to support students' curricular and co-curricular needs.
  • Contribute to program assessment needs across functional areas to support accreditation requirements.
  • Complete program projects and events related to student affairs and clinical education as assigned.
  • Attend departmental meetings; provide onsite support during critical events including orientation and graduation.
  • Participate in departmental events and perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Student Support. 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance

*This position is hybrid with occasional travel to campus for labs, meetings, and department events required. Preference may be given to qualified regionally local candidates. Fully remote applicants will be considered.

The budgeted salary that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $60,000. 

The full salary range for this position classification is $42,974.63 - $70,908.14. 

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certification, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs.
