Must be a current or continuing studentPsychology & CS double major are very welcome
Sophomore or Junior standing preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Taken a Machine learning class (e.g. CS 540/539/532/639 or Stat 453/454 etc)
Experience with programming in Python (e.g. Numpy, SciPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, MatLab)
Experience with sequence data processing
Strong mathematical background
Ability to read and understand scientific papers
Excellent organizational skills and great attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Must have an ability to self-teach
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Maintain computational aspect and establish pipeline of the research (DeepSqueak/Sleap). Research on semantic /syntax of mouse vocalizations optional. Work with graduate students and faculty member to continue developing machine learning for analyzing rodent vocalizations (Deep Squeak) and movements (Sleap), along with synchronizing behaviors between dyads of mice.
