Structural Engineer IV

We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our interdisciplinary team.

Location: fully Remote is acceptable for this job

Primary Responsibilities

• Solve structural engineering problems on complex ship design projects.

• Develop technical specifications, analysis reports, calculations, briefings, status reports and test procedures.

• Perform technical analyses using US Navy specifications, Design Data Sheets, Technical Manuals, and commercial rules.

• Interact with government and industry personnel.

• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.

• Technical Lead on small or Large projects.

• Perform quality assurance reviews of products including calculations, models, drawings and reports.

Candidate Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship is Required with an Active Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.

• BS Degree or higher in Engineering.

• 8+ years of Structural Engineering experience on US Navy Ships and/or commercial maritime vessels.

• Experience should include but is not limited to: developing technical specifications, analysis reports, calculations, briefings, status reports and test procedures.

• Proficient with industry software including AutoCAD and Finite Element Software.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.

• Excellent MS Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly, both verbally and in written format.
