Enterprise IT (EIT) is an essential component of the IT division, supporting the Pharmaceutical Research, Supply Chain, and Marketing organizations as well as Enabling Functions. The EIT Strategic Initiatives team is responsible for driving future state objectives and the vision of the organization, by overseeing and coordinating the governance of key programs and initiatives.
The Strategic Initiatives Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing a variety of initiatives and orchestrating activities across the organization, focused on organizational transformation, program governance, and operational excellence. The role requires a strong background in project management and process improvement methodologies within the IT industry.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the EIT leaders to implement the organization's strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's overall objectives and the overall IT strategy efforts.
Oversees and is accountable for the management, oversight, and successfully delivery of select EIT programs and key initiatives.
Engages directly with EIT Value Team Leads to coordinate and consolidate demand and support needs related to key initiatives.
Collaborates with EIT Value Team Leads and other IT divisional leaders to synchronize activities, timelines, and dependencies for key initiatives, emphasizing the importance of program governance and ensuring uniform program management practices throughout the organization.
Identifies and drives process improvement opportunities to achieve operational excellence, working in partnership with EIT leadership to implement improvements.
Drives program governance and continuously monitors the status and performance of each initiative.
Develops and manages regular status reporting mechanisms to EIT leadership, providing proactive insights into the status of key initiatives.
Provides strategic thought leadership guidance and council to EIT leadership relating to key initiatives.
Desired Education Level:
Bachelor's Degree is required. Concentration in an Information Technology, Business Transformation or related field is preferred.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 8 years working in IT management, program / project management or business consulting.
Proven track record of successfully managing global programs and driving process improvement within large-scale organizations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to network internally and externally, and work effectively with all organizational levels.
