As a part of our team of accomplished strategy leaders, we will look for you to own and drive projects from ideation to execution. You will assist the team responsible for developing healthcare strategies that capitalize on opportunities to meet the demands of both the core Blue Cross NC insurance business and our diversified assets. Your work will be fundamental to moving the needle on cost and quality in healthcare.
What You Will Do
- Execute multiple strategic initiatives concurrently, managing shifting priorities, mitigating risks, and ensuring flawless execution of final deliverables with minimal input from executives
- Quickly solve ambiguous and intricate problems across a variety of topic and functional areas through qualitative and quantitative analyses
- Establish a strong professional presence, projecting both confidence and expertise, while engaging with internal and external senior healthcare leaders, influencing and prioritizing strategies to position Blue Cross NC as an industry leader
- Collaborate on a dynamic team on challenging, highly visible, and highly impactful projects that drive value to Blue Cross NC, our Diversified Business Group assets, and our partners
- Rapidly acquire expertise in new healthcare topics spanning payers, providers, technology, regulations, and more
- Build concise and persuasive executive-level business cases for investments and acquisitions
- Facilitate decision-making by aligning cross-functional consensus among internal stakeholders, often with conflicting positions, using a structured approach
- Bring a strategic mindset and structured problem-solving approach, driven by intellectual curiosity
What You Bring
- BA or Advanced Degree where required
- 3+ Years of Experience ; in lieu of degree, 5+ years exp.
Nice to Have (preferred qualifications)
- Current Resident of North Carolina or willing to relocate to North Carolina
- Demonstrated experience in healthcare or strategy consulting

Salary Range
At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.
