We're looking for an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering, you'll be responsible for:

  • Develop and manage shared infrastructure automation for US federal, regulated, and sovereign cloud environments.
  • Improve security of CI/CD systems and automate change management processes.
  • Define and enforce DevOps standards, best practices, and procedures across the engineering team.
  • Automate the build-out of new Zscaler clouds and create delivery mechanisms for operational collateral.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to support a highly available engineering platform and ensure compliance with federal guidelines.

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of commercial services development experience.
  • 5+ years of public cloud experience (AWS or Azure).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
