Staff Software Engineer

You will be working on modern React-powered applications, incorporating modern front-end development techniques with the cutting edge of biology. You will build best-in-class experiences on the web for customers to discover, explore, and purchase the entire 10x Genomics product line. What you will be doing

• Designing, building, testing, and shipping production-ready software.
• Developing interactive web based applications.
• Collaborating with designers to create flexible, attractive visual components.
• Creating pages and workflows in scientifically-focused software applications.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline AND 6 years of software development experience; OR 8 years of professional experience building software.
• 3 years of experience building web applications in React.

Preferred skills and experience

• Experience testing and deploying applications to the web.
• Knowledge of modern Javascript syntax and CSS features.
• Familiarity with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Postgres or other modern relational databases.
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
• Willingness to solve problems irrespective of where it is in the tech stack.
• A background in biology is not required, but curiosity and scientific interest is.

Below is the U.S. base pay range for this full-time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
