Staff Product Manager, IaCM

Position Summary
Harness is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive critical capabilities, product adoption and accelerate our Infrastructure as Code (IaCM) product vertical, enhancing our position as the leading Software Delivery Platform for millions of developers.
In this role, you will own technical, end-to-end product initiatives—from identifying user needs and defining requirements to overseeing development and ensuring successful delivery. You’ll work closely with customers and engineering teams to guide product development, ensuring technical feasibility and high-quality execution while collaborating across departments to foster innovation and efficiently solve complex software delivery challenges.
This is a high-impact, individual contributor role, with a focus on technical execution in alignment to our target market. You will partner directly with customers, engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that address real-world challenges in software delivery, driving tangible improvements in the development process.
About the role
- Intimately understand and anticipate customer and prospect needs and what Harness should be delivering within them
- Write and manage detailed technical product requirements and specifications
- Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure technical feasibility and the timely delivery of high-quality features
- Engage with customers, developers, and internal stakeholders to gather requirements, address pain points, and drive continuous product improvement
- Define product roadmap development by identifying and prioritizing new features and improvements based on customer feedback, technical considerations, market trends, and business goals
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Developer Relations, Marketing, and other teams to create both internal enablement resources and external content that drive adoption and educate users on new features and capabilities
About you
- 5+ years of experience in product management within enterprise SaaS and Cloud environments.
- You can operate in a dynamic environment, and be able to adapt quickly
- You are passionate about improving the software delivery process.
- You are a technical product manager, able to understand architecture, and engineering decisions, working closely with developers to ensure high-quality implementation.
- You are customer focused and passionate about solving real-world developer challenges
- Bachelors in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience is required
- You have an experience as a software engineer is a huge plus
- You are familiar with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration
- You are familiar with popular IaC tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, or Pulumi. Understanding their capabilities, limitations, and use cases
- Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure Knowledge, and understanding cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Track record of managing technical products and delivering solutions that enhance developer productivity.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- You understand best practices for securing cloud infrastructure and ensuring compliance with regulations or internal policies.
Work Location
Remote, U.S. The ideal candidate will be on the East Coast time zone. Some travel may be required for the role.
