The Staff Cloud Network Engineer is the primary SME for maintaining all network cloud infrastructure using automation and Infrastructure as Code. This role will work closely with architects, other cloud engineers, application development teams, and our security team. You will develop strategy and continual improvement of code for automation of cloud networking, standardizing cloud repositories, and integrating pipelines into network Terraform modules.
You will:
Design, implement, and maintain sophisticated AWS network architectures for Lytx's cloud infrastructure.
Architect and deploy secure, scalable, and highly available network solutions using AWS services.
Optimize network performance, security, and connectivity across multi-account and multi-region AWS environments.
Implement and manage hybrid cloud connectivity solutions between on-premises data centers and AWS.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for network resources using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain network security controls and compliance requirements.
Solve complex network issues and perform root cause analysis.
Participate in on-call rotation.
What You'll Need:
8+ years of Network Engineering experience in a 24x7x365 production environment.
Network Architecture and Segmentation
5+ years of large enterprise IT experience supporting 24x7x365 production
environments.
3+ years of experience writing Terraform and using AWS Terraform deployments
Strong AWS network infrastructure experience: VPC, CIDRs, Subnets, Route Tables, Internet Gateways, NAT Gateways VPN, AWS Direct Connect, AWS Transit Gateway Elastic Load Balancing (ALB, NLB, GWLB) Route 53, AWS Global Accelerator VPC peering, AWS PrivateLink, VPC Endpoints Network ACLs, Security Groups AWS WAF, AWS Shield
Cloudflare services: WAF, Zero Trust, DDoS, CDN.
Infrastructure as Code deployment experience in large cloud deployments.
Experience with logging and telemetry platforms such as New Relic, Sumo Logic
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or IT related field
AWS Certified Advanced Networking certification
Python and Bash experience for automation
Git and GitHub
CCNP and/or CCIE
Experience with multi-account AWS Organizations and networking across account boundaries.
Self-Motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision and make collaborative decisions with peers while keeping management informed. Proactively identifying problems that need attention, and take initiative to resolve them within our defined process.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Willing to be flexible to work outside of normal business hours as needed to complete maintenance, upgrades, resolve unplanned impacts to the business, and collaborate with offshore teams.

Salary is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is also eligible for an incentive compensation plan. The expected hiring salary for this position is:
