Summary:
In this role, you will support the Data Collection Module (DCM) processes for Vizient’s ODB (Operational Database) tool, previously known as Action OI. You will lead, guide, and provide support for concurrent efforts involving multiple providers to ensure the seamless implementation of hospital data into the ODB tool. You will facilitate training for hospital program coordinators around ODB tool requirements and DCM tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Perform data collection, interpretation, and analysis for productivity benchmarking initiatives.
- Communicate recommended ODB tool requirements and solutions appropriately and effectively with Vizient stakeholders and hospital providers.
- Manage provider-specific data collection module project tasks across a variety of standard and add-on tool offerings.
- Support ODB tool by guiding provider efforts to submit data accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure data quality by driving accountability for data submitted into tool and communicating expectations effectively to provider participants.
- Drive data quality initiatives by accurately and appropriately following and interpreting Data Reference Manual (DRM) guidelines.
- Facilitate provider calls, tracking project timelines, communicating effectively to avoid project delays and facilitating tool requirements for success.
- Work with datasets in various data tools such as Excel, Access and Power Point.
- Support ODB reporting tasks and run “what if” scenarios to support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree in finance, healthcare, or analytics preferred.
- 2 or more years of experience in healthcare, finance, or healthcare consulting focused on data analysis required.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, advanced logic such as nested “if” statements, MS Access and Power Point required.
- Knowledge of healthcare terminology, charge master/billing practices, and hospital operations required.
- Analytical ability to gather, organize and interpret data, identify discrepancies, problems, and issues required.
- Experience with ODB or Action OI Data Collection Module strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with labor productivity measuring and reporting in healthcare preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare management system processes and operations principles including workflow analysis, statistical analysis, work simplification, time standard and staffing analysis, and process improvement techniques is preferred.

Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $68,500.00 to $109,700.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
