This position is primarily remote, with occasional visits to a local office or our corporate headquarters for team-building, training, and collaborative project work. These on-site sessions are designed to strengthen connections, share insights, and ensure a seamless experience for our team and customers. Equipment pick-up from a local branch will be required. We will provide advance notice whenever on-site attendance is required, making these times purposeful and rewarding.

Sunrun is on a mission to make solar energy affordable for more people. We help people upgrade their home to solar energy without the big upfront costs. Sunrun is dedicated residential solar company in the country and has a mission to bring clean, solar power service to the masses.


This position reports to our Lehi, UT office. Telecommuting optional. Salary offered: $250,000/year.


Responsibilities:
1. Frontend Engineering (30%)
Development and Maintenance of User Interfaces (15%): Designing, developing, and maintaining dynamic and responsive user interfaces using technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular. User Experience and Interaction (10%): Collaborating with UX/UI designers to refine and implement designs that enhance user interaction and accessibility. Performance Optimization (5%): Optimizing frontend performance to ensure fast loading times and responsive interaction across various devices and web browsers.


2. DevOps Work (30%)
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) (10%): Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment of code changes to various environments. Infrastructure Management (10%): Managing cloud-based infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure), ensuring scalability, security, and reliability of the system.Monitoring and Operations (10%): Implementing monitoring tools to track system performance and uptime; troubleshooting and resolving operational issues.


3. Backend Engineering (40%)
API Development and Integration (15%): Developing and maintaining robust APIs to facilitate communication between the frontend, backend, and external services. Database Management (10%): Designing, implementing, and managing database schemas; ensuring data integrity, security, and performance optimization. Architecture and System Design (10%): Designing and implementing backend system architectures that support scalable, efficient, and secure
applications. Security Implementation (5%): Ensuring the application adheres to security best practices, including data protection and secure coding standards.
