We are seeking a detailed-oriented onsite* Staff Accountant to join our global finance team in Dallas, Texas. The Staff Accountant will be responsible to assist with various accounting tasks and reconciliations. *Opportunity to work from home up to 2 days per week.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries, including accruals, by maintaining records and reconciling accounts
Support the month-end and year-end close
Prepare payment requests to the AP department for departmental invoices
Request account and cost center changes
Prepare internal financial reports for department managers, including monthly reports and additional reports as requested
Research and correct account discrepancies
Distribute month-end reports to department managers and respond to questions or corrections.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices, preferably for nonprofit organizations
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems
Ability to analyze, consolidate, and interpret accounting data
Attention to detail
Analytical thinking
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration, plus at 3 years of relevantexperience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Experience in an accounting role using accounting software, preferably NetSuite.
Pay Range:
$50,000 - $60,000 per Year
