As a Staff Accountant, you will be a key member of the management company finance team. This team has a broad mandate and is responsible for managing the books, records, and budgets of both US and International businesses, and managing tax filings with external service providers. You will report to our Finance Director and be a vital contributor to the success of the finance team. This role is a means to make a difference: work with our senior executives and partners to support critical accounting and budgeting processes, and growth initiatives across the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Book accruals, transactions, and entries in the accounting software.
  • Ensure all incoming invoices are received and processed and communicate with internal stakeholders on receiving appropriate approvals.
  • Perform weekly, bi-weekly and monthly reconciliations for internal records, banks, and credit card systems.
  • Support the team in closing month-end financials statements.
  • Assist with annual audit processes such as updating and maintaining supporting schedules.
  • Collaborate on updating the annual functional team budgets.
  • Help maintain active registrations for management company entities.
  • Assist with bespoke projects to improve our management company finances operations and processes.

Requirements

  • 2 years in public or private accounting
  • Understanding of US GAAP
  • Proficient with enterprise-level accounting software such as Workday, SAP, Oracle and Quickbooks
  • Excellent MS excel skills
  • Active CPA preferred
The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000 in the location(s) of this posting.
