Position Summary:
The Senior Work Methods & Procedures Specialist in the Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) Group will focus in one of several areas of expertise including but not limited to: Work Methods & Procedures, Technical Support (to field maintenance and construction crews), Quality Control, and/or Training.  Incumbents apply electrician level technical knowledge to field support sessions, projects, audits, and activities that ensure improved safety, reliability and efficiency of field maintenance and construction processes.  In addition to any specialized support focus, the incumbent develops, designs, and maintains bulletins, job aids and tailboards regarding Asset Performance Management (APM).  Incumbents may also be assigned to field support for construction and maintenance including changes to maintenance programs, storm and emergency response activities, and/or involvement in special projects including the implementation of business or software systems in the field.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. 

 

A reasonable salary range is:

  • Minimum (Bay Area) $102,000.00
  • Maximum (Bay Area) $152,000.00
  • Minimum (California) $97,000.00
  • Maximum (California) $144,000.00

 
Job Responsibilities:
•    Set up and alter the APM program including but not limited to, electronic forms and indicators, program profiles and cycles
•    Test new software releases and/or testing of new processes
•    Ensure all equipment in APM has the correct assignments to ensure proper completion of installation and maintenance
•    Support field employees with APM questions
•    Develop training courses and job aids for end users
•    Train new field employees use of the APM software as well as any software updates/ changes
•    APM tracking and reporting
•    Support future updates to APM
•    Compliance reporting as requested
•    Travel for APM training, meetings and field visits as required
 
Qualifications
Minimum
•    High School Diploma or GED
•    8 years of Utility or IT experience
 
Desired: 
•    2+ years of Microsoft Suite experience
•    2+ years of CBM desktop and remote app experience
•    Basic knowledge of C# and VB Script
•    Basic knowledge of SAP
•    Advanced analysis and problem solving skills
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse work groups
•    Knowledge of PG&E’s Electric Utility requirements and documents
