This is a remote role and can be based anywhere within the U.S.

The Senior Vice President (SVP), Strategic Marketing will be a visionary leader, charged with the critical task to elevate the American Cancer Society (ACS) brand and the mission. The focus of this role will be to strengthen the American Cancer Society brand through a comprehensive approach that combines market and audience research, brand development, core messaging, and go-to-market strategies that supports the organization’s strategic plan. This leader will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of ACS by driving its growth and making a lasting impact on the lives of people affected by cancer.

For over a century, the American Cancer Society has been dedicated to improving the lives of people with cancer and their families with the vision to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. As the SVP, Strategic Marketing, you will work closely with the CMO to elevate the ACS mission and make a tangible difference in the lives of people with cancer and their families. By effectively communicating the work done across the ACS pillars of advocacy, research, and patient support, this role will ensure everyone can prevent, detect, treat and survive cancer.

This visionary leader is responsible for delivering measurable results toward enterprise and department business objectives and is a critical leader in strengthening and amplifying the American Cancer Society brand. Authentic and highly collaborative, this leader will have a strong track record of successfully motivating matrixed teams that welcome and include diverse perspectives. A peer to the heads of Communications, Direct Marketing, Paid Media, Creative and Digital Marketing teams, this position reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, sits on the Marketing Leadership Team and provides leadership for the Marketing Strategy, Insights & Analytics, and Go-To-Market teams
