Job Description:
Job Summary- The Senior Project Manager - Revenue Management Technology, Program and Delivery invests in Southwest's future by leading multi-million-dollar projects that directly impact the revenue and profitability of Southwest Airlines. This role will be focused on the planning and delivery of enhancements to our Revenue Management System and implementing new systems for Revenue Management and Pricing.

- This role is offered as a remote workplace position, which may require travel for trainings, meetings, conferences, etc. Outside of those required visits, the majority of your working time may be spent in an approved remote location, away from our Corporate Campus. Please note, while this is a remote position, there is limited group of states or localities ineligible for Employees to regularly perform their work off-site. Those ineligible locations are: Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, Maryland, Montana, New Jersey, New Hampshire New York, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming, and Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities- Partner with Technology Managers and Directors to lead large Technology projects/programs in support of department or enterprise strategic plans
- Serve as a project Leadership resource responsible for driving analysis, recommendations, decisions and delivery
- Define complex project plans/roadmaps for multiple simultaneous projects or for a single highly complex project or program including scope, budget and schedule and execute tasks defined in the project plan to achieve project goals using standard project management methodologies and practices
- Work with development and application teams to breakdown work into smaller components or features and to identify critical path
- Drive testing and acceptance of project or program results across multiple teams
- Mentor and coach other Project Managers
- Monitor risks, issues, and scope proactively, ensuring the appropriate level of priority, visibility and escalation
- Communicate plan and all relevant components such as risk, schedules, expectations and ongoing updates to Stakeholders, Sponsors and Project Teams to maintain project alignment
- Build partnerships to collaborate and use influence to gather Customer and business requirements and communicate effectively with all project Teams and support groups
- Work with partner teams across portfolios to plan (define scope of dependencies), to track execution of work, and to visualize the full scope of work including business capabilities and architectural runway
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
- Expert knowledge of project processes, problem management tools and procedures
- Advanced knowledge of Agile development practices and ceremonies
- Advanced knowledge of application impact on operational and business functions
- Skilled in proficient financial acumen to interpret corporate financial analysis and financial statements
- Skilled in strong Customer Service and Team orientation
- Ability to assume a high level of responsibility and provide direction in a Team-oriented environment, directing tasks to finish by scheduled completion date
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, at all levels
- Ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, collaborative, Team based environment and maintain composure under pressure and accurately assess problem situations
- Skilled in Leadership to direct performance of outside Contractors and maintain positive relations with internal Customers
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Required: Expert-level experience, expansive and far reaching knowledge in project management
Preferred:
Experience with software development projects
Jira/Jira Align
Experience working in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Experience working within a Revenue Management portfolio

- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $128,350 - $142,600* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
