Zillow is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager on the AI team to help drive the roadmap of sophisticated LLM and Multimodal core tech and product experiences. This role will directly report to our distinguished scientist who leads a few ambiguous AI initiatives, will be responsible for coordinating with the corresponding engineering, product, and design teams, meanwhile help cultivate teamwork across different engineering teams!
As a Senior Technical Program Manager on the AI Team, you will:
Help define the technical roadmap, managing multiple AI programs from concept to production.
Set up and complete meeting routines to ensure program success (e.g. Agentic AI Scrum of Scrums, Sprint demos, etc).
Coordinate with product team and define science fused product planning and roadmap.
Oversee Agentic AI Rhythm of Business to optimize ROI on time the PEMD group spends in meetings.
Drive the transition from early-stage exploration or novel experiences into scalable prototypes with well-defined achievements for launch.
Ensure the success of new LLM and Multimodal AI tech properly shipped to the products.
Engage with design partners to provide guidance and identify emerging opportunities to convert design ideas into product experiences our customers love.
Establish evaluation frameworks for measuring the impact of LLM models and iterate based on findings; additionally, partner with data scientists to scale experimentation, automate feedback loops, and optimize models for performance and efficiency.
Assist the team in sharing updates with collaborators through asynchronous communications, covering project progress and the quarterly Agentic AI newsletter.
Who you are
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
- Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with solid knowledge of innovative LLM, multimodal, voice agent.
- Strong product sense, especially in bringing to bear AI to transform the user experience.
- Have the passion and strong desire to incorporate brand-new AI tech into existing products or build innovative feature sets for end users.
- Experience working with engineering and AI teams for developing dialogue systems capable of longer, natural conversations, multi-step reasoning, context-rich decision-making.
- Experience deploying and scaling AI products and services capable of handling hundreds of millions of daily interactions with high availability, low latency, and robust fault tolerance.
- Strong communication skills - you will be aligning Engineering, Science, Product, and Design while also updating leadership and collaborators on business impact, tradeoffs, and new technologies.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical teams.
- Proven track record to manage sophisticated, cross-functional projects from inception to completion, with a focus on delivering high-quality results on time. Experience in managing timelines, resources, and collaborators while maintaining alignment with business goals.
- Good at writing, and comfortable with drafting proposals, requirements etc.
