Sr. Systems Engineer-Remote USA

- Design and implement datacenter and cloud infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage systems, network devices, and backup systems using industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into infrastructure designs.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity, and efficiency through continuous monitoring and tuning.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring data protection and business continuity.
- Implement and automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and DevOps practices.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Participate in incident response and problem resolution, troubleshooting complex issues and driving root cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and security controls for infrastructure management.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and champion their adoption where appropriate.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in datacenter operations or system administration
- Deep knowledge of server hardware, storage systems, and network infrastructure
- Deep expertise in infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
- Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, ECS) and container orchestration.
- Extensive experience with backup and recovery tools (e.g., Cohesity, Netbackup, AWS Backup)
- Extensive experience in networking and firewalls (e.g.., Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, VPC’s)
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Ansible)
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Experience with security and compliance tools (e.g., InsightIDR, Prowler, AWS Inspector)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or other relevant certifications are a plus
- Familiarity with Isilon, PowerMax, or other enterprise storage solutions
- Knowledge of high-performance computing (HPC) environments and infrastructure

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
