Description:
- As a System Administrator you will bring experience supporting a containerized Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence, Crowd, Bamboo, Bitbucket) within a highly secure Linux PaaS environment. The project expectation is for a highly reliable, scalable, secure, and maintainable system. There will be autonomy to research, design, implement and launch new tools and services that enable the development team to rapidly deploy new features without sacrificing uptime. Manage back-end configuration of an Atlassian server suite for optimal performance, availability, and security. The ideal candidate will work on an agile team to support and continue development of a containerized stack in a Linux PaaS environment.
Essential Functions & Duties:
- This role requires being comfortable working within a matrix-based DevOps team across multiple Scrum teams to perform the following tasks: Assist with software and infrastructure management, inventory, installations, configurations, and connectivity, Collaborate with other engineers to develop deployment and maintenance automation for existing and new services, Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot problems within DevOps tools, network, storage, and servers
- Be able to implement and maintain DevOps systems and IT automation. In addition, be able to identify the root cause of issues and work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of engineers.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8+
- Scripting/development skills.
- Python and Bash scripting are preferred
- 2+ years of experience administering an on-premise (Server, Data Center) Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Crowd) strongly preferred
- Docker, Salt or Ansible, Git, Bamboo or Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory or Nexus, NGINX, MySQL, PostgreSQL / EDB

- Familiarity with deploying, configuring and troubleshooting JEEE apps
Citizenship or Work Authorization Required:
- Ability to attain Federal Government Position of Trust. Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.

Preferred Education & Experience: Commensurate experience in IT and in new and related older technology that directly relates to the required area of expertise.
Compensation for roles at Synergy varies depending on a wide variety of factors including but not limited to the requirements of the role; education and certifications; knowledge, training, skills and abilities; level of experience; geographic location; and alignment with market data, law, and other business and organizational needs. As required by local law, the posted pay range represents the lowest to the highest pay that Synergy believes in good faith it might pay for this particular job, depending on the circumstances. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $90,000 – $120,000.
