The Caption Health SBU focuses on clinical applications that aid in early disease detection, using AI to assist in conducting ultrasound scans. Caption Care is a turnkey, end-to-end echo program that leverages Caption AI technology platform to deliver convenient, cost-effective echocardiograms in any care setting to identify heart disease earlier—before undiagnosed issues become serious.
The Sr. SQA Automation Engineer at Caption Health plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to identify issues early in the development cycle, collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to define and implement best practices in testing. Responsibilities include performing SDK-related automation testing using Behavior Driven Development (BDD) frameworks, such as pytest-bdd, and developing comprehensive API and UI-based automation tests to ensure robust and scalable software solutions.
The Sr. SQA Automation Engineer works across multiple platforms, including iOS and Android, to ensure a seamless user experience. Additionally, the role creates detailed automation test plans, generates reports that provide insights into testing progress and quality metrics, and meticulously reports defects to drive swift resolution. This role’s expertise is vital in contributing to the continuous improvement of our automation frameworks, driving innovation, and maintaining the high standards of our cutting-edge healthcare technology solutions.Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:
- Identify the scope of automation work by providing an initial estimate, justifying with facts.
- Demonstrate the understanding of Agile software development lifecycle with ability to distinguish the core inputs and outputs in each cycle.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for various components of the software, ensuring early detection of defects.
- Perform SDK-related automation testing using BDD frameworks such as pytest-bdd within PyCharm.
- Develop, execute, and maintain API automation testing to validate backend services and integrations.
- Create and execute UI-based automation tests to ensure a high-quality user experience across web and mobile platforms.
- Conduct automation testing for mobile applications, including iOS and Android, to verify functionality, performance, and compatibility.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other QA engineers, to define and implement testing best practices.
- Develop comprehensive automation test plans and strategies that align with project goals and timelines.
- Generate detailed test reports and quality metrics to provide insights into testing progress, coverage, and results.
- Identify, document, and report defects and issues, working with development teams to ensure prompt resolution.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the automation frameworks and testing processes.
- Work closely with the Regulatory and Quality teams to integrate software quality activities with regulatory plans, documentation, and quality systems.
- Provide the team with timely and accurate QA status and progress during all project testing phases.
- Mentor and provide guidance to other QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and innovation.
- Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices in automation testing to drive improvements and efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- BS in Engineering or computer science (or equivalent years of experience).
- 5-10 years of hands-on QA testing experience in a fast-paced agile environment.
- 5-8 years of experience in automation testing with a focus on APIs, SDKs, web and mobile-based applications.
- Expert level in Python and able to create frameworks in Python
- Should be able to understand existing framework and proceed on it
- Understands Gherkin based scenario
- Experience with UI automation - for web-based application
- Mobile automation experience - We work on iOS and Android tablets and mobile in future
- Has knowledge on APIs and able to automate it
- Should understand the integration between Google cloud, Jira Xray and automation framework for running the test cases and dumping the verification results on the cloud
- Understands manual testing, STLC, Verification and Validation process, SQA and automation tools process and methodologies
