Overview

The Applications/Systems Engineering area is responsible for technical pre/post-sales support. Includes customized application engineering and solutions, implementation, training, and maintenance. Assesses application of firm products to meet customer needs. May prepare product specifications for development and implementation of client solutions.

Job Summary:

TNS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solutions Architect to join our Enterprise Sales organization. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our sales efforts by designing, developing, and implementing innovative technology solutions that meet the complex needs of our enterprise customers. This role requires a deep understanding of telecommunications, enterprise networking, and cloud technologies, combined with the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design:  Collaborate with the sales team and customers to understand business requirements, and design end-to-end technology solutions that align with TNS's product offerings and capabilities.
  • Technical Expertise:  Provide deep technical knowledge and expertise in telecommunications, networking, and cloud technologies to support the sales process and address customer challenges.
  • Customer Engagement:  Act as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers, guiding them through the technical aspects of solution design, implementation, and integration.
  • Proposal Development:  Develop and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and technical documentation that clearly articulate the value and benefits of TNS's solutions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:  Work closely with product management, engineering, and operations teams to ensure the feasibility and scalability of proposed solutions.
  • Market Awareness:  Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform solution development and sales strategies.
  • Pre-sales Support:  Provide pre-sales technical support, including product demonstrations, proof of concepts (PoCs), and responding to RFPs/RFIs.
  • Partner Collaboration:  Collaborate with third-party technology partners to integrate their offerings into TNS's solutions, ensuring a seamless experience for the customer.

Qualifications:

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.  Equivalent experience acceptable.
  • Experience:  Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a Solutions Architect or Enterprise Sales Engineering role, preferably within the telecommunications or enterprise networking industries.
  • Technical Skills:  In-depth knowledge of telecommunications, networking (LAN/WAN), cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), VoIP, SIP Trunking, and security protocols.
  • Sales Acumen:  Proven ability to bridge the gap between technical solutions and business needs, with experience in supporting enterprise sales teams.
  • Communication:  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-solving:  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying customer needs and delivering innovative solutions.
  • Certifications:  Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.) are desirable.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as required to meet with customers and support sales efforts.

  • For this role, we anticipate paying $155k - $190K. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
