About the opportunity

This important role owns the presales technical discussions with our key prospects to ensure nothing stops them from getting the most out of Wavelo. You will help our prospects grasp the art of the possible with Wavelo products and drive the technical vision. You'll be an integral part of the Wavelo Sales team and partner with our Engineering, Delivery and Product Management functions to ensure that you are an expert in product/solution fit.

Job Duties

  • Being naturally curious about our customer's challenges and objectives where you will help lead, research and question in a consultative manner to understand how we can cocreate dynamic experiences with Wavelo
  • Work collaboratively with Enterprise Account Executives to drive opportunities by creating value in the sales process
  • Demonstrate an expert-level understanding of the technical aspects of Wavelo's solutions, and be a go-to for technical presales questions from customers and sales counterparts
  • Configure the best demos to align with a prospect's use case, speaking comfortably to all stakeholders, including Administrators/IT, Managers, and C-level executives
  • Work with the Sales team to guide and complete Proof of Concepts and RFI's to deliver to key decision-makers, addressing their challenges and objectives while focusing on articulating the business value
  • Work with Marketing and Product to align sales messaging for new product releases and strategic internal initiatives and produce content (whitepaper, article, customer-facing documentation)

  • Ability to think strategically to overcome technical and security roadblocks
  • Sales DNA with excellent presentation and demo capabilities; confident presenting to customers remotely and in-person
  • Entrepreneurial in thinking and approach with an ownership mentality
  • Problem solver, versus simply being a problem identifier
  • Self-starter - we're a small, remote team, and nobody will be looking over your shoulder or micro-managing
  • Professional, personable, and proactive interpersonal skills - you will need to be an excellent communicator in all channels (in person, online, in writing) and form strong working relationships in person and virtually
  • Highly organized and can prioritize tasks/projects
  • Highly coachable, eager to learn and grow
  • Enjoy working within a small team and having your work play a meaningful role in the outcomes for the company.
  • Agile, adaptable, resilient, and an embracer of change

Qualifications Required

  • 5+ years of Sales Engineering or Solution Consulting experience in a SaaS organization servicing CSP
  • Deep understanding of existing OSS and BSS tech and their shortcomings
  • A track record for crafting innovative ideas to increase customer retention and product adoption
  • Consistent top performer - top 10% of SEs, Club, or other top awards
  • Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka) and AWS
  • Deeply technical and comfortable with our platforms. Having experience coding/scripting in programming languages is a substantial bonus

The expected On Target Earnings range for this position is $160,900 - $178,800 USD for US residents OR $153,900 - $171,000 CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. The commission portion for this role will be 50% of the On Target Earnings. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
