At Trace.Space we’re building the R&D engineering data platform for the top engineering companies building the world’s most critical HW/SW systems - cars, planes, defense systems, space tech, semi-conductors, medical devices and more. Over the past decade, product complexity has skyrocketed 10-100x, driven by software proliferation and electrification, with further growth expected as autonomous features advance. Our mission is to empower engineers and their teams with cutting-edge tools to build the mission-critical technologies of tomorrow—products that legacy tools simply cannot handle.

Backed by $6m in pre-seed and seed funding from top-tier investors, we're now inviting an experienced Front-end Software Engineer to join our mission.

Responsibilities

• Develop and take lead of the architecture design of Trace.Space's front-end system.
• Deliver and iterate on high-quality code.
• Take ownership of the visible part of Trace.Space's product, ensuring the technical feasibility of the UI designs and user flows.
• Translate technical requirements and user feedback into product improvements.

Requirements

• High proficiency in React and TypeScript.
• Proven experience as a front-end software engineer in an agile environment.
• Proven experience as a leading front-end system architect.
• Thorough attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to devise solutions for complex problems that fit well into the overall system design.
• Ability to work independently and manage a variety of tasks.
• Need to provide examples of your work (e.g., GitHub links, product links with a description of your contributions).
• Availability to work remotely within Europe.

Nice to have, but not required

• Experience with B2B SaaS products, particularly those that address complex processes.
• Experience developing solutions for hardware engineers.
• Experience building product-led or self-serve products.
• Experience building rich text editors using Prosemirror and Yjs.
