Overview

The Project Manager, Hospitality Technology will be responsible for the planning and implementation of hospitality technologies (point of sale, self-checkout, etc.). They will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure systems are selected, configured, and deployed to meet the needs of the business. They will be responsible for maintaining project plans, budgets, documentation, and internal and external communications.

 

Candidates will need to be comfortable operating without detailed oversight and be able to make decisions supported by data and a business case to meet tight delivery timelines. They will also need a strong track record of project management and in-depth knowledge of different point-of-sale systems, networks, and IT infrastructure in traditional and non-traditional environments. This position involves more than simple project management and will require frequent travel to our client locations to provide hands-on direction and support of the tactical delivery of our technology solutions.

 

This role pays an annual salary of $135,000-$150,000 and is bonus eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Create, communicate, and execute project plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements with a focus on optimizing risk vs. delivery
  • Create and manage project budgets
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, support their growth initiatives, and collaborate with our vendors to configure systems to meet the needs of both the client venue and OVG Hospitality
  • Establish project KPIs and metrics
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to stakeholders, both in structured project status meetings and informally as needed
  • Foster an environment for standardized, scalable, and repeatable processes
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
  • Manage our vendor relationships to ensure the level of support provided meets the requirements of the business and contractual obligations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field
  • 8 years’ experience working in enterprise IT environments in a project management role
  • 8 years’ experience supporting and deploying Point of Sale (POS) and related hospitality technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, socialize, and execute complex project plans that involve multiple different stakeholders and unique operating environments
  • Demonstrated knowledge of POS Systems, networking concepts, and modern productivity tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to explain complex technologies clearly with customers, staff, senior management, vendors and contractors
  • An ability to present and discuss technical, functional information concisely that explains the issues at hand, including presenting options for the team to discuss for problem resolution
  • Flexible working style, able to quickly adapt to diverse and changing environments and timelines
