Overview

The purpose of this role is to deliver on product roadmap priorities to achieve time to market and time to value targets by managing the product development lifecycle for a given product(s) through proven technical leadership.  This role will be responsible for the Clinical product portfolio including acute setting, ambulatory, and ancillary products.  The Product Manager will be responsible for the analysis of industry competitive features and methodologies to support product development and subsequently client implementations and support including federal and state regulations as it applies to the area.  We seek a candidate with a strong healthcare clinical background.

 

This is a remote role in the US.

 

Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, planning, positioning, requirements and roadmap development, product launch, and assisting with pricing new and existing solutions.
  • Translate business strategy into product strategy.
  • Provide input into product roadmap and maintain for business unit.
  • Cross-functionally drive development and launch of the product from concept to delivery.
  • Collect and create detailed requirements for design and development for more than one product across multiple product generations.
  • Explain designs and constraints to stakeholders, writing requirements/user stories for software development teams. 
  • Provide insight to stakeholders on product and market.
  • Understand, research, and follow trends in industry and in general.
  • Develop communication material, value props and high-level strategic justification to help explain the why of your product both internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify objectives and key results for projects, execute on and report against them.
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog.
  • Accountable for and skilled in feature breakouts and user story breakdowns.  
  • Act as a coach to the team to lead best practices in feature breakout and story breakdowns to ensure that requirements are complete and ready for development.
  • Participate in daily scrum meetings, planning, reviews and retrospective.
  • Be the go-to person for solution process and product expertise to team members throughout the entire project.
  • Work with engineering, QA, professional services, and technical operations during design and implementation to shape the technical feature set and usability of the product and ensure the highest quality products delivered on-time, on budget and with superior performance and support.
  • Build effective relationships with leadership, cross-functional teams, and clients.
  • Develop relationships with clients and prospects, gather and understand customer feedback on existing product and products in development and conduct effective interviews to better understand the context of the problem to solve and deliver right solution.
  • Lead and develop a team of product managers.
  • Help the team remove obstacles, focus, and prioritize work to achieve milestones.

 

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business, IT, or business-related field or equivalent/years of experience required.
  • Clinical certifications preferred but not required.

 

Experience:

  • 10+ years related healthcare work experience.
  • 7+ years product management experience.
  • Software design experience in complex, multi-tasking, real-time, highly availability systems.
  • Experience working in small, highly focused teams.
  • Must be able to define and manage complex processes and/or product issues of a broad scope using independent judgment.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and management skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment (SAFe Agile experience preferred).
  • Experience interacting with Clients to define and prioritize requirements and specifications.

 

Travel Requirements:

  • As required, up to 50%

 

Working Arrangements:

  • Work is performed in a remote environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards.
  • In-person office travel for internal and external meetings expected.

Salary Range$126,448—$153,002 USD
