This role will manage complex dependencies between the Android OS platform stack, hardware product teams, and our software application portfolio, ensuring seamless integration and innovation. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, skilled at managing interdependencies, and proficient in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. In this role, you’ll bring our purpose-built devices to life and design a cutting-edge future of mobile work to include designing for hospitals of the future. You will also work with emerging technologies such as Edge AI to drive the next generation of smart devices.    Key Responsibilities  
  • Vision and Strategy: Own the on-device platform stack and Spectralink Mobile Application vision. Define and execute the vision and strategy aligned with the greater Spectralink product portfolio for the Android OS platform and preloaded software applications, aligning with company goals and market trends. Drive innovation and unlock on-device platform capabilities and incorporate emerging technologies such as Edge AI and Internet of Things (IoT) to secure unique competitive advantages.  
  
  • Market Analysis & Insights: Conduct market research, emerging market and technology trends analysis, competitive analysis, voice of customer (VoC), user research and leverage user feedback to prioritize platform capabilities and product features that optimize market impact.  
  
  • End-to-End Product Management: Own products end-to-end and accountable for product outcomes. Lead cross-functional product teams comprised of yourself, the engineering lead, and engineering and QA collaborations. Continually bring vision, strategy, market insights, business viability, and voice of customer expertise to the end-to-end product team.  
  
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with Spectralink’s business stakeholders to include marketing, sales, operations, and services to ensure products are viable for how Spectralink does business.  
  
  • Product Definition: Own product definition and collaborate with engineering leads to design and define on-device platform capabilities, along with features and functionality for both the Android OS Platform and relevant preloaded Android Mobile Applications to include the Spectralink Mobile application for our devices. Ensure product definition, design, and technical documentation created by engineering are captured early and readily accessible in our product tool suite to guide teams with meaningful context on how new product releases are valuable (customers will buy it), viable (it will work for the Spectralink business), lovable for users, and technologically feasible.  
  
  • Emerging Technologies: Lead initiatives involving cutting-edge technologies, such as Edge AI and IoT, to enhance device intelligence and performance. Strive to find new innovative challenges to solve within the Android OS Platform and software applications.  
  
  • Product Roadmaps: Own and create impactful road maps and that are aligned with vision and strategy to maximize market output. Collaborate with engineering leads to understand and incorporate the level of effort, resource allocation, capacity, and risks, along with dependencies and technical debt management.   
  
  • Cross-Team and Vendor Dependency Management: Coordinate across hardware teams, OS platform developers, and software application teams to manage complex interdependencies and ensure alignment. Balance a hybrid Agile/Waterfall approach to align Dependencies with internal hardware teams and external vendor schedules.   
  
  • Product Backlogs: Own product backlogs and collaborate with engineering and QA in Agile ceremonies to include sprint planning, grooming/refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.   
  
  • Product Requirements: Own product requirements end-to-end from high-level conception to detailed requirements. Collaborate with engineering and QA during grooming/refinement to ensure Jira user stories are well written and complete to include user story statements, functional requirements, technical and non-functional requirements, and testing readiness that includes both acceptance criteria and a clear definition of done (DoD).  
  
  • Vendor Scope Development: Build detailed scopes of work for Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) partners to execute effectively.  
  
  • Process Excellence: Utilize Agile and Waterfall best practices to manage product development cycles efficiently.  
  
  • Go-to-Market (GTM) and Operational Readiness: Work cross-functionally with other product management leads, marketing, sales, operations, services, and finance during GTM launch and operational readiness.  
  
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track KPIs to measure product success and inform future development efforts.  
  Desired Qualifications  
  • 10+ years in technical product management and or technical platform product management.  
  • Strong understanding of Android OS, mobile device integrations, modern platform design, platform product management methodologies, API design and management, 3rd party integrations, Internet of Things (IoT) device integrations, and emerging trends like Edge AI.   
  • Healthcare is an experience with a strong plus.  
  • Experience launching global products across diverse markets.  
  • Direct experience working with Android OS strongly preferred.  
  • Experience building and launching Android mobile applications is a strong plus.  
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment while managing complex dependencies.  
  • Expertise in both Agile and Waterfall product management practices.  
  • Experience with Aha! Roadmaps are a plus.  
  • Familiarity with building IoT platforms and or devices for Healthcare, Retail, Hospitality or Manufacturing verticals is a strong plus.  
  • Direct and relevant experience and a strong understanding of product lifecycles, release planning, from concept inception through to product end-of-life.  
  • Familiarity with ODM partnerships and scope development processes is a plus.  
  • Contract management a plus  
  • Buy/Build/Partner experience is a plus.  
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, agile development environment and manage multiple, concurrent priorities and projects  
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically  
  • Ability to research and understand customer needs  
  • Ability to present ideas and plans clearly and confidently to all levels of management and engineering teams  
  • Excellent customer-facing attitude, communication skills (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills  
  • Ability to participate effectively and build consensus in a cross-functional team  
  • Ability to perform cost/benefit financial analysis on product opportunities  
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results  
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills  
  • Bachelor's in Science preferred with Computer Science, Engineering, or related field a strong plus; MBA is also a plus.  
   Location: Our preference is for the successful candidate to be local and able to come to our Louisville, CO office a few days each week however we will consider a fully remote/out of state arrangement for the right person.
