Meet the team:

Dexcom is a leader in diabetes management technology and is proactively developing solutions to address new and expanding areas of opportunity for diabetes treatment, and improved health.  The US is the largest market with significant growth opportunities, and the trade team will be instrumental in achieving our goals.  This leader will shape the trajectory of Dexcom’s success in the growing CGM category and will be poised for future growth opportunities within an evolving and dynamic company.

This role will join a team of commercial leaders who are helping to define the go to market and channel strategy for Dexcom’s expansion in OTC CGM market. 

Where you come in:

  • The Sr New Business Development Manager, Omnichannel Trade will be responsible for leading the distribution strategy to help us engage with prospective channel & trade partners, increasing access to Dexcom’s first OTC CGM.   
  • This candidate will work cross-functionally with and through our trade team to assess the commercial opportunities for bringing the offering to market.  This includes solving for pricing, promotion and distribution challenges necessary for bringing a new offering to retail. 
  • As a BD leader, you will set annual plans and targets by channel and develop marketing and programming strategies in support of achieving goals and ambitions for growth. 
  • You will contribute to building the broader OTC channel plan as well as taking accountability for setting and analyzing the value and volume contributions by managed channels. 
  • Engage with marketing and sales teams to facilitate the end-to-end consumer journey from awareness to education to conversion. 
  • Develop channel playbooks and best practices and share out key learnings and insights to the organization. 

What makes you successful:

  • You have proven experience in leading complex trade relationships with large, national, and omni-channel retailers either in the consumer goods, medical devices, consumer electronics or health technology industries. 
  • You’ve helped build annual and long-term commercial plans by channel and understand how purchasing and decisions are made within large, national, and omni-channel retailers. 
  • You understand how to define a new category and use various syndicated and emerging data sources to influence sell-in and broader category insights within the health, wellness, and diabetes segments of retail. 
  • You are an adept storyteller who has helped introduce a new product to the market and build a compelling sell-story to influence key decision makers. 
  • You understand how to engage cross-functionally in a matrixed organization and understand how to collaborate and influence outcomes across all stakeholders in the process of bringing the product to the shelf.

Travel Required:

  • 15-25%

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 13+ years of related experience.
  • At this level a graduate degree may be expected with 6 years of related experience.
