About the role:

Reporting to the Director, Workday HR Operations, this role is responsible for providing deep functional and technical expertise of Workday, with key focus on HCM, Compensation, Talent Management and Talent Acquisition functionality. The Senior Manager, HR Operations & Workday drives process and solutions design, leads projects and provides day-to-day user functional and technical support to HR, Managers and Employees across the enterprise. As a Workday Subject Matter Expert, this individual understands and communicate new and existing Workday system functionality and best practices. Additionally, this individual provides business processes and application support including configuration, security, training and procedure documentation. This role supports the team by designing or modifying new or existing reports across HCM, Compensation, Talent and other HR domains. High level collaboration across HR and technology teams will be required to establish a trusted relationship with stakeholders and to help the organization gain the optimum benefit from Workday.

This position offers the flexibility to work fully remote, with required hours aligning with either EST or CST time zones. Alternatively, you can choose to work onsite at our Warren, NJ Headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acts as a functional and technical subject matter expert for researching, troubleshooting, and resolving data and/or system processing issues.

  • Responds to ticket support arising from Workday inquiries. Researches and resolve day-to-day Workday system issues.

  • Monitors business process workflow; maintains supervisory structure and core configuration in Workday.

  • Streamlines processes and procedures; recommend and implement changes leading to best practices and provide solutions to HR, Managers and Employees.

  • Work in conjunction with our technology team on Workday projects with focus on, but not limited to, HCM, Recruiting, and Talent, including gathering requirements, system configurations and testing.

  • Collaborate with functional stakeholders to design and implement solutions that meets business requirements and leverages the best of what Workday has to offer.

  • Assess, strategize and manage relevant Workday releases and future functionality in partnership with HR customers.

  • Acts as project manager when required, able to maintain a project plan, create status reports and communicate to stakeholders.

  • Ensures the business has a strong understanding of all system changes being implemented.

  • Produces data loads (EIBs). Ensures integrity of data migrations and data mapping onto Workday.

  • Escalates issues/risks proactively to appropriate team members and management.

  • Ensures HR data, processes and system compliance.

Work Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Undergraduate with focus on Computer Science (preferred).

  • Minimum of 3 year of practical Workday HCM and Recruiting experience (required).

  • Demonstrated experience in Workday implementation and/or migration.

  • In-depth knowledge and experience managing and deploying business process updates, Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) templates, and security assignment models.

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build relationships in a team environment.

  • Highly developed problem-solving skills.

  • Strong analytical skills and excellent organization and planning skills.

  • Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Effectively deal with ambiguity.

  • Integrity and maintain the confidential nature of the information by protecting the privacy of our employees and their records.

  • Ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced, confidential environment and exceptional attention to detail.

​For CA and NYC: The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
