Summary

The Sr Manager, HR Shared Services is responsible for overseeing the delivery of HR services and support to associates and management. This role ensures that HR operations run smoothly and efficiently, aligning with the organization's goals and objectives. The HR Associate Service Center Manager will build and lead a team of HR professionals, measure/track service levels, and ensure compliance with policy, procedure, and all relevant labor laws. 

 

The salary range for this position is $126,000 - $190,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Ideal candidate will reside in the Salisbury, Maryland area or reside elsewhere and travel as needed.

 

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

HR Service Delivery: Oversee the delivery of HR services related to associate lifecycle management, ensuring that HR services are delivered in a timely, accurate, and customer-focused manner using service level agreement best practice.

  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs that support the organization's strategic goals.
  • Implement internal ticketing system and knowledgebase to support HR Service Delivery model.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR professionals.
  • Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

HR Systems and Technology:

  • Leverage the HRIS system SuccessFactors to streamline HR processes and improve service delivery.
  • Ensure HR information entry is accurate and performed with a high level of integrity.
  • Stay current with HR technology and process trends and recommend upgrades and enhancements. 
  • Play a key role in technology testing to ensure optimal performance of systems during upgrades and enhancement implementation.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR processes and practices to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and maintain HR documentation, including employee handbooks, policies, and standard operating procedures.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Develop and maintain HR metrics and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present HR reports to senior management.

Strategic HR Initiatives:

  • Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Lead or contribute to strategic HR projects, such as change management, and talent management initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and service delivery.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is preferred.

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role and demonstrated experience setting up and running a centralized service center for HR transactions.

  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong process orientation with an eye to optimization, standardization, and change management
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
