Meet the team:

This position is for a Senior Manager responsible for working across regions and functions with both customer teams and internal stakeholders. The role will focus on implementing best practices for the Commercial Forecasting team and developing a strategic plan forecast.

Responsibilities include identifying and promoting best practices across regions and ensuring consistent adherence to forecasting methodologies. This role will also manage the long-range planning (LRP) cycle for the commercial organization and coordinate among other teams to gather necessary inputs and assumptions for the process.    

Where you come in:

Forecasting Excellence:

  • Strategic Partnership: Act as a strategic partner for the Commercial Leadership Team, collaborating closely with Analytics, Sales Ops, Marketing, Finance, Strategy, Operations, and Project Management. This involves providing insights and recommendations to drive business decisions and align forecasting efforts with overall company goals.
  • Data and Market Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of data availability, market strategies, forecasting models, and key performance indicators (KPIs) across all regions. This includes analyzing market trends, identifying data gaps, and ensuring that forecasting models are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaboration and Best Practices: Work with regional forecasting teams to establish best practices and success models. This involves sharing knowledge, tools, and techniques to ensure consistency and accuracy in forecasting across all regional partners. The goal is to replicate successful strategies and models in different regions to achieve uniformity and excellence in forecasting.
  • Technical Implementation: Implement technical solutions using business intelligence and data science to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency. This includes leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and other data science techniques to improve forecasting models and processes. The role also involves identifying and implementing new technologies and tools that can support better forecasting outcomes.

Long Range Forecasting:

  • Lead Long Range Plan Efforts: Take charge of the Long Range Plan (LRP) efforts across functional teams to develop a comprehensive 5-year forecast. This involves coordinating with various departments to ensure that the forecast aligns with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Integrate Access Wins and Product Launches: Incorporate access wins, product launches, and enhancements into the forecasting framework. This ensures that the forecast reflects the latest developments and opportunities, providing a more accurate and up-to-date projection of the company's future performance.
  • Coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with pricing, finance, sales, marketing, and operations teams to gather input and align forecasts with business objectives. This collaboration ensures that all relevant factors are considered and that the forecast is comprehensive and well-rounded.
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs): Collaborate with SMEs to include market dynamics and cross-functional expertise in the forecasts. This partnership ensures that the forecasts are informed by the latest industry trends and insights, making them more reliable and actionable.

What makes you successful:

  • 10 years professional experience in a Forecast Analyst or Financial Analyst function, Management Consulting, Project Management or similar
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to build logical market and business models
  • Direct experience / understanding of Revenue, volume, price, and userbase Forecasting
  • Basic understanding of database structure and manipulation
  • Cross-functional Project Management experience

Travel Required:

  • 15-25%

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 13+ years of related experience.
  • At this level a graduate degree may be expected with 6 years of related experience.
