JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Sr. Learning & Development Specialist identifies and develops employees' talents based on current and future business objectives. They will identify required skills within the organization and develop training and procedures to ensure the current skills remain within the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, conduct, and organize training programs to improve employee performance and ensure organizational capability to meet business needs

  • Design and implement leadership development programs to build a talent pipeline.

  • Support career development initiatives and succession planning through targeted training interventions

  • Partner with senior leadership and HR Business Partners to identify learning needs and align L&D efforts with business objectives

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to share best practices and harmonize learning approaches.

  • Ensure the effective design and implementation of the L&D governance and standardized processes (e.g., onboarding) to meet the business needs

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for development programs

  • Conducts training needs assessments to identify training gaps and develop appropriate learning interventions; (e.g. learning needs analysis; design and execution; measure training effectiveness)

  • Develops training evaluations and assessments and follows up to determine and report on training effectiveness

  • Sources best content resources to meet training needs and respect copyright and content ownership rights

  • Designs and develops learning solutions for job aids, resource guides, web-based training/e-learning, instructor-led training (ILT), and virtual instructor-led training (vILT)

  • Provide thought leadership on state-of-the-art learning methods and approaches and guide our organization on how to translate up-/re-skilling needs into transformational learning experiences

  • Offer practical tools and resources to support on-the-job learning, coaching, and mentoring to nurture a growth mindset and anchor a strong learning culture

  • Own our Learning Management System; ensure it enables a smooth, positive learner experience and provides reporting, metrics, and insights to understand learning patterns, to steer learning offerings, and to measure the impact of our learning investments

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience as an L&D/ HR Specialist or related position.

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Communication, Education

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

  • Understands various design and delivery techniques - Instructional design is a plus

  • Knowledge of authoring tools like Articulate, Storyline, Rise is a plus

  • Experience in Cornerstone OnDemand Learning Management System preferred

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, web-based meeting/conferencing tools, and the ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

Compensation Range:

$79,900.00 - $142,800.00

Compensation Frequency:

Annual

Base pay offered may vary depending on actual location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Supplemental pay types may include commissions or bonus incentives, depending on the role.
