Job Description SummaryThe Environmental Transformation Leader will play a pivotal role in driving an environmental strategy aligned with emerging global expectations for GE HealthCare. This role will work to cross-functionally to operationalize new environmental sustainability, cross-functionally integrating environmental standards, defining new environmental targets and metrics, and creating processes to implement new and emerging environmental regulations. The role requires broad environmental expertise, complex project management, strategic planning, and change management experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of environmental expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills to spearhead the integration of environmental standards across various facets of our organization. This role will also provide technical assistance in other areas as defined by their expertise or as assigned and reports to the Environmental Programs Executive.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-year environmental strategy aligned with the company's mission and objectives.
  • Identify key environmental goals, targets, and performance indicators to measure progress and impact.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives to embed environmental sustainability into the company's culture and operations in alignment with environmental regulations and emerging trends in environmental sustainability.
  • Assist sites in compliance with relevant laws and regulations globally.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, sourcing, logistics, marketing, and engineering to ensure alignment and integration of environmental standards.
  • Oversee the execution of complex environmental projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Develop frameworks and processes to operationalize environmental initiatives across the organization.
  • Establish clear guidelines and procedures for measuring and reporting environmental performance metrics.
  • Prepare and present to key stakeholders, including senior executives, employees, regulators, and external partners, to foster support and collaboration.
  • Participate and lead compliance and framework audits and reviews necessary to meet company and local compliance requirements.
  • Develop and deliver training to a broad and diverse audience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, business administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of at least 7-10 years in environmental management, sustainability, or related field, with significant experience in a leadership role.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Experience in driving organizational change and implementing sustainability initiatives across diverse functions and departments.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute long-term environmental strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and lead multidisciplinary teams towards common goals.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $130,560.00-$195,840.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
