PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $125,700.00-$153,600.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $97,400.00 - $181,800.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage.  Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance.  We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees.  Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan.  Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE

As a Senior Enterprise Project Manager at BECU, you will lead and manage complex projects and product delivery teams, ensuring seamless execution from planning through closure. Your leadership will drive successful outcomes for key initiatives that span multiple business units, fostering collaboration across all levels of the organization. By navigating challenges and delivering strategic results, you’ll help shape the future of BECU and its mission to serve its members effectively.

To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, you have the flexibility to either work remotely or come into our HQ to enjoy a collaborative and inclusive environment. For those outside of Washington but in one of our supported states, you can also enjoy the convenience of remote work, contributing from the comfort of your home. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Define and Communicate Objectives: Clearly articulate business outcomes, objectives, and project scopes to align stakeholders and ensure shared understanding.

  • Lead Project Execution: Oversee all aspects of project planning, execution, and implementation from initiation through closure, ensuring successful delivery of features, backlog items, and initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Manage iterative and collaborative requirements gathering, refining high-level requirements into actionable tasks through ongoing stakeholder engagement.

  • Establish Governance: Determine and implement appropriate project governance structures, including preparing and managing steering committee meetings.

  • Develop Work Plans: Create detailed work plans for complex technology projects and business initiatives, incorporating the appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).

  • Manage Financials: Oversee project budgets and forecasts, reconcile actuals against forecasts, and approve project invoices to ensure financial alignment.

  • Resource Planning: Develop and communicate resource plans, timelines, and schedules to keep projects on track.

  • Vendor Oversight: Review vendor SOWs/contracts, manage external resources, and ensure vendor activities align with project objectives.

  • Mitigate Risks: Anticipate, identify, and address risks, issues, and dependencies, maintaining detailed RaID logs throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Communicate Effectively: Establish and execute communication plans, ensuring transparency and clarity for stakeholders and team members.

  • Mentor and Coach: Provide mentorship to associate and junior project managers, fostering growth and development within the team.

  • Optimize Delivery: Facilitate release plans, go-live activities, and post-launch support while continuously improving project delivery processes.

  • Lead Change: Participate in EPMO process improvements and champion initiatives to enhance project outcomes across the organization.

  • Adapt and Deliver: Navigate challenges effectively while delivering results, meeting deadlines, and achieving project goals.

  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent work or educational experience required.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in project management or leadership roles required, including managing technology and enterprise-wide projects, with expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor members, provide constructive feedback, and ensure successful project delivery and follow-through.

  • Experienced in conceptualization, organization, analysis, and critical thinking, with a proven ability to plan, organize, schedule, and execute multiple technical and business-related projects while effectively utilizing standard project management software tools and training others in their use.

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree preferred.

  • Project management certifications, such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master, or Agile Certified Practitioner, preferred.
