About the Role:
A Senior Director of Transportation and Logistics Services is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the transportation and logistics operations within the organization. This role involves strategic planning, execution, and management of logistics functions to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. The Senior Director will lead a team of professionals, drive operational improvements, and collaborate with other departments to enhance overall supply chain performance.
You Will:
- Develop and implement transportation and logistics strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Monitor industry trends and advancements to enhance operational effectiveness
- Experience leading Carrier negotiations with rates and terms
- Oversee daily transportation and logistics operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies
- Optimize supply chain processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of logistics and transportation professionals
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Prepare and manage the department budget, ensuring financial targets are met
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective measures
- Collaborate with internal departments, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, suppliers, and carriers
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve service levels
- Analyze data to drive decision-making and operational improvements
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations and safety standards
- Stay updated on changes in legislation affecting logistics and transportation
- Identify and implement technology solutions to enhance logistics and transportation operations
- Leverage data analytics to improve forecasting and inventory management
You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in transportation and supply chain management, with at least 8 years in a leadership role
- Experience in supply chain optimization and cost reduction
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management

Conditions of Employment:
- This position will require working with Hazardous Drugs (HD) and would require that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) be worn for the length of working with these drugs. These items would include gloves, respiratory protection, gown and other items as required.
- This position requires medical approval to wear respiratory protection in the form of negative or positive pressure respirators, including N95, full face respirator, SCBA, or Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).
- Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking up to 50% of the time, standing up to 100% of the time, squatting and bending up to 20% of the time and lifting up to 80% of the time for up to a twelve hour shift. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Due to the risk of reproductive capability in handling or compounding certain Hazardous Drugs (HD) associates must be willing to confirm that they understand the potential risks (teratogenicity, carcinogenicity and reproductive effects) of handling hazardous drugs.

The actual amount will take into account a range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and location.
