About the Role 

The Senior Director, Sales Strategy & Planning will play a key role in the development and execution of Wellmore’s strategic growth plan. You will lead a small team and serve as the voice of sales and the customer working with marketing in the development of integrated vertical consumer/shopper plans. Day to Day, you will drive the sales planning process, work cross functionally on product development, channel optimization, pricing and ensure the sales team is armed to execute with excellence. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Develop trade strategies to drive maximum achievement of sales, profit and ROI 
  • Collaborate with customer teams participating in growth-oriented annual business planning and attends customer meetings as required 
  • Assist in the development of sales plans for new product and line extensions 
  • Manage the necessary tactical revisions to plan to ensure that business objectives are met 
  • Work on trade investment and promotions to achieve company objectives; lead post evaluation framework to optimize promotional strategy 
  • Provide guidance on the Trade Tool implementation and best practices 
  • Provide leadership and best in class sales reporting mechanisms and systems to ensure trade spending effectiveness 
  • Collaborate with marketing to ensure that promotional funds as well as strategies and objectives are integrated into the field release and are consistent across business units 
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge of changes in customer operating philosophy and an understanding of field planning capabilities and needs. 
  • Develop and maintains meaningful relationships with internal and external teams.  
  • Lead and manage a small team 

  

Requirements

  What We’re Looking For 

  • Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Business, Management, Sales or a related field 
  • 10+ years of experience in sales strategy, trade marketing or related 
  • 5+ years previous experience specifically with trade management software and strategy/planning and pricing
