Summary/Overview:

KBRA (KBRA Holdings, LLC.) is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. The Database Engineering team is focused on supporting internal engineering and analytical teams by creating systems & services and providing guidance to help them reach their operational goals.

The organization is transforming into a model where small, empowered teams own the things they build from inception through production. The DBA team in addition to supporting and maintaining legacy infrastructure, will also work to provide resources to these teams to enable them to build & deploy scalable, observable, reliable, and secure applications.

The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities and will have an impact across the organization. It will require building relationships with engineers as well as business users and all changes will have to be made while considering their impact on multiple products with active users.

Job Responsibilities:

• Help build Database as a service platform to support Internal teams in delivering products quicker
• Research and implement solutions that address pain points in current development cycle.
• Migrate legacy systems to newer cloud databases while maintaining security, performance, and costs.
• Create Infrastructure as code solutions for Database provisioning, Scaling, and configuration changes in a multi cloud environment
• Work across multiple database technologies:  MS-SQL, MYSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• CI/CD Deployments for Database schema changes through Flyway or SSDT/Dacpac.
• Participate in Blameless Postmortems of production issues to identify potential improvements.
• Advocate for scalable, observable, reliable, and secure practices across the organization.
