Lincoln Financial Foundation focuses on building stronger communities through non-profit partnerships in education, human services, and financial wellness, with the goal of helping people build secure financial futures. 
This position will provide subject matter expertise and contribute to the direction of Lincoln Financial Foundation’s philanthropic efforts. You will assess complex issues and trends affecting our communities, identify non-profits that deliver solutions through community and other key stakeholder partnerships, manage a robust grant portfolio and represent the Lincoln Financial Foundation both internally and externally.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage the development of the Human Services grant portfolio across eleven Lincoln cities. Understand complex issues and trends to execute a grantmaking strategy with measurable impact that aligns with Lincoln’s values and goals.  
  • Develop partner relationships and manage the grantmaking process including due diligence, evaluation of performance metrics, proposal review, grant recommendations and financial reporting. 
  • Prepare and deliver precise and persuasive written and oral presentations to executive leadership across the enterprise on the vision, strategy, and recommendations of the grant program. 
  • Effectively communicate the mission, goals and strategies of the portfolio and the Lincoln Financial Foundation to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. Communicate and partner with leadership across Lincoln business units and geographic footprint to ensure understanding of, and engagement with, Foundation programs and initiatives.  
  • Manage corporate giving and committees in select regions to promote employee activities and engagement, working with leaders on budget planning, allowable expenditures, member management, and education.  
  • Develop subject matter expertise on community connections, support employee volunteerism and building Lincoln’s brand and reputation. 
  • Establish and build relationships and partnerships as a thought leader with key community stakeholders and leaders to represent Lincoln Financial Foundation in the community, events, convenings, meetings, and speaking engagements. Identify solutions and opportunities through innovative collaborations and initiatives.
