The Digital Solutions team at the American Cancer Society (ACS) is looking for a business intelligence (BI) analyst. This individual will play a key role in creating client facing analytics, working with a variety of business functions to scope and fulfill key business intelligence deliverables specifically for the Finance, HR and DE-I departments. This role will lead efforts to establish, a BI center of excellence that provides leadership, best practices, research, support and training around ACS business reporting and analytics with the goal of increasing BI literacy and self-service adoption across the organization. This position will also satisfy on-demand, ticket-based requests from the business partners we support. In addition to the critical data and technical competencies required, the right candidate will possess exceptional customer service and relationship building skills and understand the importance of building trusting business relationships with the stakeholders we support.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with business leaders on business intelligence and analysis needs for key organizational KPIs, gathering requirements, conducting data profiling, and tracking metrics.

  • Understand our mission goals, and build reports and dashboards based on KPIs through PowerBI, Salesforce, BusinessObjects and other tools, with the ability to tailor the output/deliverable to the audience from highly technical to non-technical storytelling.

  • Anticipate business partner needs, proactively identifying - providing BI that will help them achieve their objectives or solve problems Build ad hoc reports for business users as requested; manage the report request queue

  • Train business leaders and other key stakeholders on data exploration tools already provided within PowerBI, and others.

  • Develop and coach best practices for using our self-service reporting tools

  • Serve as an internal liaison/coach to business users on data available.

  • Work with Data Governance - Data Management teams to manage key master data management entities for CRM, ERP, and application databases

  • Design, develop, and analyze results from data queries to identify data quality issues

  • Coordinate workload, monitor the Azure Dev Ops ticket system and update logs as required

  • Designs and develops Azure Dev Ops dashboards for tracking report requests and completion of tasks

  • Responsible for the design, development, and administration of transactional and analytical data structures.

  • Comply with all security policies and procedures

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

FORMAL KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Math/Statistics, Information Technology, Engineering, Informatics, or related quantitative field.

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • 3+ years of working with business partners turning their objectives into KPIs and building reports - visualizations off them.

  • Expertise with SQL.

  • Expertise with BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, BusinessObjects, Salesforce reporting.


COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
Required Qualifications

  • Ability to display data in an intuitive format and a concise manner, tell a story with the data

  • Experience with Salesforce

  • Experience sales, marketing, and finance data

  • Energetic, organized self-starter who works under limited supervision.


SPECIALIZED TRAINING OR KNOWLEDGE

  • Proven experience with business intelligence: using dashboarding and other visual techniques to drive insights to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience with Snowflake Exposure to dbt Exposure with cloud services such as, Azure Cloud, Google Cloud, AWS
  • Development in and administration of Informatica Data Quality System
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Objects and data elements.
  • Hands on experience with Salesforce reporting, Salesforce Cases, Azure Dev Ops, Business Objects, Power BI and Power App.
  • Familiarity working within an Agile methodology

The starting rate is $78,000 to 98,000 annual. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
