Sr. Business Analyst (ServiceNow)

Join our growing ServiceNow team as a Sr. Business Analyst, where you will act as a management consultant, advisor, and implementor for a dynamic client in a science-driven environment. You will be responsible for understanding the client’s business processes and requirements and how ServiceNow can transform their operations. As part of our team delivering digital transformation services, you will provide advanced technical solutions to streamline and optimize systems. This role involves full life-cycle Agile implementation activities including design, development, testing, production, and implementation. You will serve as a translator between technical teams and the customer’s business community to collect, clarify, analyze, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design for ServiceNow solutions. You will serve as the trusted advisor and relationship builder.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- At least 7 years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years in an agile environment.
- Experience advising, consulting, and managing client expectations.

- Management consulting experience is a plus
- Strong ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Proficiency in building professional consultant-level slides.
- Strong collaboration and listening skills.
- Experience using Scrum methodology to manage project workflow and requirements.
- Experience working with a development team, end users, and providing leadership/mentoring to other analysts.
- Proficiency in using repositories to archive, create lists, and document libraries.
- Experience gathering and writing requirements.

- ServiceNow System Administrator and ITSM implementation certification is a plus.
- Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of ITIL processes, operations, and procedures.



Responsibilities:


- Work with clients to understand needs and requirements.
- Conduct workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
- Support business process re-engineering efforts to configure the system to meet new client initiatives.
- Introduce and educate customers on best ServiceNow and ITIL practices.
- Perform a gap analysis of current and desired processes and ServiceNow OOB functionality

- Assess current state legacy processes.
- Provide analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
- Utilize a repository to archive, create lists, and document libraries.
- Provide effective and comprehensive communication project-wide, and engage across the team and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate and conduct working sessions to gather and document requirements.
- Work closely with developers to ensure all requirements are understood, documented, and tested.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the customer’s requirements and assist the project team in applying industry best practices and detailed knowledge of ServiceNow to design an optimal solution.
- Assist the technical team in translating application functionality into application architecture and the production of a business functionality requirements statement.
- Document workflows and results of business analysis.
- Write stories with acceptance criteria and functional tests, in accordance with agile best practice guidelines.

  • The salary for this position is $85,000 - $130,000 annually
