Sr. Billing Specialist - Hemophilia Treatment Center

The Sr Billing Specialist oversees and resolves billing related tasks, creates reports, and contributes to all home infusion billing functions, primarily focusing on hemophilia treatment billing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Independently execute and manage billing related tasks within own area of responsibility (e.g., pharmacy/insurance billing, accounts receivable follow up, collections & denials process).
• Work closely with internal and external teams (e.g., clients, customers) to coordinate, clarify information, and resolve issues.
• Support account receivables functions related to professional fee billing; create documents and standards reports.
• Contribute to the maintenance of all policies, systems, methods, and procedures for the effective management and control of the billing functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

Minimum Education and/or Training:

• High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum Experience:

• Minimum Requirement: 4+ years of experience in an automated medical billing and collection environment or a medical services provider and/or third-party payor.
• Some experience in negotiating with clients/customers (e.g., discount requests, invoice reconciliation) preferred.
• Some experience in EPIC home infusion billing system
• Prior experience in Pharmacy billing preferred
• Proven performance in earlier role.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $22.00 - $38.50 per hour for the role of Sr. Billing Specialist - Hemophilia Treatment Center.
