Sr. Audit Associate (Hybrid Remote) - Locust Point, MD

This position allows for 3 days per week remote / work from home.Salary: $80,000 - 95,000/year As a Senior Audit Associate, you will lead and participate in audit engagements, assess internal controls, and provide valuable insights to improve clients' financial processes and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to audit standards and regulations.
• Assess and evaluate clients' internal controls and identify areas for improvement to mitigate risks.
• Conduct substantive testing and analytical procedures to validate financial information and transactions.
• Prepare audit reports and communicate findings and recommendations to clients and management.
• Mentor and supervise junior audit team members, providing guidance and support throughout engagements.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business operations, goals, and challenges.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and auditing standards to enhance audit methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in external auditing, preferably in a CPA firm environment.
• Strong understanding of audit principles, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency in audit software and MS Office suite.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and team members.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
