ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the Corporate FP&A Senior Manager and our FP&A department by ensuring efficient coordination, effective communication, and timely completion of key deliverables. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

COMPENSATION: $70,000 - 100,000/year, with additional annual bonus potential

LOCATION: Remote (within the U.S.), with typical working hours aligning with the Pacific Time Zone (PST).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reporting

    • Prepare clear, accurate and in-depth financial analyses in support of monthly reporting packages, quarterly close materials, and other management reporting cycles

    • Prepare succinct and clear executive presentations that simplify complex topics, often with time sensitive deliverables

    • Ensure data integrity and drive consistent and accurate reporting of Finance data across the organization

    • Drive standardization and documentation of streamlined planning & reporting templates

    • Assist in procedures and reporting related to monthly/quarterly/annual close processes.

  • Planning & Forecasting

    • Extract & model financial information, analyze and provide meaningful insights to Finance leadership and other business partners.

    • Support the annual business plan and subsequent forecast updates with business partners to achieve organizational objectives.

    • Improve visibility, forecasting, and analysis of results and key metrics while advising senior management on insights and recommended actions.

    • Deliver timely and robust planning content with meaningful insights.

  • Financial systems/modeling

    • Support ownership of Planful, the company’s financial planning tool by completing enhancements and updates as directed.

    • Identify/implement opportunities for enhancing financial models, input templates, data hierarchies, etc.

    • Compile information from various stakeholders in preparing deliverables that pull data from multiple sources

  • Collaboration

    • Develop partnerships with stakeholders throughout organization.

    • Drive cross-functional alignment on finance processes and planning and collaborate across teams to improve data quality and speed of reporting.

    • Actively seek opportunities to improve tools and processes. May lead or co-lead projects to improve efficiency, effectiveness and/or collaboration between the FP&A team and its customers

    • Effectively manage numerous projects at a given time in a fast-paced environment.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or relevant field

  • At least 3+ years of relevant work experience

  • Investment banking, private equity, management consulting or financial planning and analytics experience in a public company preferred.

  • Knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices; strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, both internal and external, and financial modeling.

  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen, including understanding of a business P&L statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Experience with planning/financial software such as Planful, Oracle, NetSuite, and Power BI.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.

  • Excellent organizational skills, including handling multiple deliverables and assignments, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to interact with different management levels.
