The Role at a Glance

The Business Analytics team is responsible for shaping how the department interacts with data to gain insights into our financials and make data-driven decisions. As a Director, Anaplan Solution Architect, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of complex Anaplan models that drive enterprise planning and decision-making. You will play a critical role in expanding the capabilities of the Anaplan platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and establishing best practices to maintain model integrity, scalability, and performance.

In this role, you will collaborate with senior business stakeholders, model builders, and IT teams to translate strategic business requirements into scalable Anaplan solutions. As part of the Anaplan Center of Excellence (CoE), you will also provide thought leadership, mentor model builders, and guide the adoption of Anaplan across the organization.
 

What you'll be doing

•    Lead the design and implementation of scalable Anaplan solutions aligned with business goals and best practices. 
•    Collaborate with senior stakeholders to assess business needs and translate them into effective Anaplan models. 
•    Establish and enforce governance processes, model optimization techniques, and performance monitoring protocols. 
•    Design and manage data integration between Anaplan and other enterprise systems to ensure data accuracy and consistency. 
•    Serve as a key advisor within the Anaplan Center of Excellence, mentoring model builders and promoting knowledge sharing. 
•    Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure model sustainability and support knowledge transfer. 
•    Identify and implement process improvements to enhance model efficiency and streamline planning workflows. 
•    Continuously assess emerging trends and technologies to enhance the Anaplan platform’s capabilities.
 

What we’re looking for

Must-Haves:
•    Anaplan Solution Architect certified with 5+ years of experience designing and implementing Anaplan models at an enterprise scale. 
•    Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional projects and collaborating with senior business stakeholders to align solutions with strategic goals. 
•    Deep expertise in Anaplan architecture, including best practices for model design, data integration, and performance optimization. 
•    Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
•    Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
•    Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture. 
•    Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Nice To-Haves:
•    Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, automation, and integration.
•    Working knowledge of Anaplan APIs and experience with API-based integrations.
•    Experience working with QuickSight, Power BI, or other Business Intelligence platforms. 
•    Background in the insurance domain, including individual life insurance, annuities, group insurance, and/or retirement planning. 
•    Familiarity with Agile methodologies and enterprise data governance practices.

The pay range for this position is $93,300 - $169,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
