Job Description SummaryAs a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Caption Health, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our products. Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with product managers and development teams to understand project requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Design and develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Perform manual and automated testing for Web-based/mobile/SDK, including functional, regression, E2E, Integration and compatibility testing.
  • Continuously improve and expand our test automation framework and test suites using Python.
  • Identify and report defects, track their status, and work closely with developers and product teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Proactively identify potential quality issues and suggest improvements to the development process.
  • Work closely with the Regulatory and Quality teams to integrate software quality activities with regulatory plans, documentation, and quality systems.
  • Provide the team with timely and accurate QA status and progress during all project testing phases.
  • Ensure proper configuration management of test management software and requirements traceability.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in engineering or computer science (or equivalent).
  • 5-8 years of hands-on QA testing experience in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience in automation testing with a focus on web and mobile based applications.
  • At least 2 years of related experience working in software quality in a medical industry preferred.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • This position is based in the United States only. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE HealthCare may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with skills.
  • Must be willing to travel as required.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong knowledge of software QA lifecycle, methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Good familiarity in building/developing automation framework for mobile and web-based applications.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java) for test automation.
  • Able to test mobile apps, APIs and web based applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CAST) are a plus.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $111,280.00-$166,920.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
