Sport and Physical Activity Skills Hub Manager (North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and Humber)

As a Skills Hub Manager, your mission is to work closely with stakeholders across North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and Humber to deliver targeted education and workforce solutions that meet the evolving needs of organisations in the Sport and Physical Activity sector. You will play a pivotal role in identifying current and future skill requirements, developing regional stakeholder networks, and fostering partnerships to drive CIMSPA membership growth.

Your core responsibilities will be:

  • Collaborating with local organisations to develop and implement a CIMSPA-led Local Skills Strategy that aligns with the needs of the Sport and Physical Activity sector.
  • Growing CIMSPA's partner and membership base through engaging with a diverse set of organisations, including employers, higher education partners, National Governing Body partners, and Active Partnerships.
  • Promoting engagement and fostering stronger connections between CIMSPA and the local education system (schools, colleges, universities) through their educational offerings and ensuring their curriculum aligns with the skill requirements of local employers.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to drive positive change within the sport and physical activity sector while contributing to CIMSPA's growth and development. It involves strategic planning, curriculum development, partnership building, and stakeholder engagement to align CIMSPA's initiatives with local skills requirements and educational resources.

The Skills Hub Manager role will sit within CIMSPA’s Local Delivery Team which is responsible for managing and growing CIMSPA’s external stakeholders, including employers, deployers, and key local strategic organisations.

Key tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Engage with employers in North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and Humber area to understand their people’s skills requirement to meet their objectives.
  • Collaborate with local colleges, universities and training providers to deliver cost-effective training that aligns with employer needs.
  • Develop the CIMSPA employer partnership network within the local area to drive membership growth.
  • Support the development of Local Skills Plans through a network of regional stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for partners, ensuring their needs are met and contractual obligations fulfilled.
  • Represent CIMSPA at industry events nationwide.
  • Grow the CIMSPA corporate membership (Employer Partnership) base in your region.
  • Provide feedback to CIMSPA on Employer Partner issues and recommend improvements to products/services.
  • Collaborate in new product development to enhance partnership and membership services.
  • Contribute to the quality assurance process for continual improvement.
