As a Specialist, Software Engineering, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our advanced internal forecasting products, contributing to a cohesive and impactful commercial decision-support suite. In this dynamic position, you will collaborate with our core product delivery team to develop the next generation of our internal forecasting platform. Your technical solutions will have a direct impact on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our business operations, ultimately improving the lives of our customers.

Primary Activities & Responsibilities include and may not be limited to:

  • Contribute to architectural discussions for various components within the platform 

  • Independently research potential solutions as needed 

  • Write high quality code, complete with tests, typing, and generally conforming to software best practices 

  • Collaborate with DevOps team to implement CI/CD release workflows 

  • Contribute to design and use of APIs to expose backend functionality 

  • Conduct code reviews, ensure changes enhance maintainability, performance, and security 

  • Analyze and improve efficiency and scalability of systems and processes 

  • Create prototypes for new features and see those through to production 

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar STEM field 

  • Minimum 2 years of software engineering experience, specifically building and delivering quality systems 

  • Advanced experience with Python (FastAPI, async.io) 

  • Advanced experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) 

  • Experience with data modelling, relational, and non-relational data-stores 

  • Experience AWS tooling (EKS, Cloudwatch, S3) 

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse groups of work colleagues and positively manage ambiguity. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both oral and written) with the ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:

$85,600.00 - $134,800.00
