Account Representative, Purification and Filtration, Bioprocessing (Solventum)

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

  • Establishing territory sales goals and utilize appropriate tactics to meet and exceed sales objectives.

  • Work with Marketing and Application Engineering to understand new customer and business development opportunities.

  • Establish and build relationships with key personnel at multiple levels in the buying process to attain territory sales goals.

  • Proactively present new application opportunities to end-users.

  • Generate leads for new business through interactions with end users

As a Bioprocessing Account Representative, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Providing materials to simplify the manufacturing of life changing therapeutics

  • Helping customers quickly get new therapeutics to market

  • Providing lower cost alternatives to protein manufacturers

  • Shows high level of knowledge and understanding of business unit goals 
  • and supporting strategies. Contributes to establishment of business unit business plan. Develops individual territory business 
  • plan and implements strategy to achieve sales quota or objectives with infrequent assistance from manager. Recommends 
  • adjustments to business plan and establishes new objectives. Consistently meets or exceeds sales forecasts, goals and 
  • objectives.
  • Applies and may provide input to business unit marketing policies, procedures and plans. Utilizes 
  • selling process and advanced selling skills and business skills to achieve sales results. Understands and applies market trends 
  • in representing offerings to customer.
  • Demonstrates and trains internal and external customers on product applications. Represents business 
  • unit products and services to customers and prospects. Identifies, directs, and delivers appropriate sales support services to 
  • customers and distributors and leverages internal resources.
  • Mines social selling tools to identify a broad based customer 
  • profile and industry trends.
  • Proactively reports all new or unusual pertinent market conditions, competitor activities, and 
  • product performance information to supervisor. Interacts with business groups and/or business management to identify target 
  • audiences and provide input to a communications plan that delivers the brand promise to target audiences and builds 
  • customer loyalty.
  • Plans and manages time and resources for effective coverage of territory, communications, and other responsibilities. Observes all budget guidelines.
  • Maintains and communicates account and prospect information, maintains company resources, and sales support materials.
  • Exhibits leadership with accounts, prospects and peers. Accepts direction and assumes leadership as appropriate, developing mentoring and coaching skills. Asserts ideas and persuades others to action, builds collaboration among team members to address relevant customer/industry issues. Provides direction on priorities and develops a shared vision that stimulates needed changes plus clarifies roles and responsibilities.
  • Continuously expected to learn and improve skills relative to the market, products, applications, selling, administrative and other skills. Developing facilitation skills to achieve learning objectives with customer, distributors, and peers.

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND three (7) seven years of Biopharmaceutical sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment

OR

High School Diploma/GED from AND (11) eleven years of Biopharmaceutical sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

Current, valid Driver’s License.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience selling process equipment in a scientific environment

  • Experience in a private, public, government or military environment designing protein manufacturing processes.

  • Manufacturing experience in a protein therapeutic company.

  • Proven track record of sales growth

Work location: Remote-United States

Travel: May include up to 60% [Domestic /International]

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $138,733 - $169,562, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
