We need a Solutions Engineer for our exciting and fast-growing, Demand Intelligence company - focused on combining real-world events into one global source of truth to help businesses better understand demand, and plan for the future.  

We are looking for someone with a desire to reinvent use cases, support the world’s largest Enterprise organizations, and refine best practices for scale. You will be collaborating with industry-leading teams, as an instrumental member, to understand their goals and assist in their path to production. 

The Solutions Engineer falls within our Global Go-to-Market team and mainly supports our sales arm on many key deliverables including: identifying evaluation success criteria, architecting integration pathways, onboarding potential customers to our API platform, monitoring API trials and providing feedback along the way, expanding the usage of our platform, and helping our sales team turn prospects into PredictHQ customers.  Along the way, you will also be working closely with our engineering and product teams on features and delivering feedback from the field. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Fully manage our technical engagements which include face-to-face meetings with prospects and customers to understand use cases, answer technical questions, and recommend the best ways to utilize our API and associated tools/features.
  • Intimately understand what we sell and how each API is best used. Advise on ways to get the most value from our data, features and develop new methods to do so. 
  • Architect data integration pathways and packages to guide our customers through their PredictHQ lifecycle. 
  • Build scalable customer champions through best practices and proven solutions. 
  • Partner with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to proactively assist prospects and customers with technical implementation details and, at times, technical issues or requests.
  • Partner with our sales team in responding to RFQ’s, RFI’s and RFP’s with appropriate levels of functional and technical details depending on the prospective customer needs.
  • Quickly visualize findings in tools such as VS Code, Deepnote, Kepler, GSlides, or others to confidently present, defend, and communicate findings to a diverse group of stakeholders. 
  • Facilitate technical discovery workshops, solution design sessions, value-driven presentations and demonstrations for new and expansion opportunities.
  • Support the enablement process by authoring reference solution strategies, architectures and tailored demo scripts with focus on business value and technical ease.
  • Create and present executive summaries showing business outcomes driven by impact to model performance using PredictHQ data sets and features.
  • Provide a smooth hand-off of all the presales assets (e.g., Solution Design, Technical Presentations, Trial Accounts etc.) to Customer Success as part of onboarding.
  • As the voice of the technical customer, work closely with internal teams to adjust our messaging, product roadmap, techniques, and new innovations.

Skills, Knowledge and Competencies

  • 5-7 years of industry experience with 3-5 years of experience as a Sales or Solutions engineer.
  • Broad experience using APIs, building dataframes, and comfort with managing large-scale database integrations (BigQuery, Azure, Snowflake, etc.).
  • Experience in Python (and/or other programming languages) in order to build, execute,  and adjust scripts.
  • Documented practice with demos and the ability to explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Appetite for playmaking -- solving complex, customer problems with varied solutions.
  • Able to take initiative and adapt on-the-fly with rapidly changing customer needs.
  • Experience forging strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives.
  • Technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
  • Willingness to travel.

  • Applicants for this position must have a valid United States work visa.
  • Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with internal policies and procedures, applicable legislation, rules and standards, including relevant Acts, Advertising Standards Authority rules and regulations, and industry body requirements.
  • The salary range for hiring for this position is $170,000 - $190,000, comprising a base and variable component.
