Responsibilities:

  • Guide the architectural direction for client projects, ensuring solutions built on Azure and Azure Databricks are innovative, scalable, and secure.
  • Mentor and support cross-functional teams, helping them overcome technical challenges and grow their skill sets in data engineering, BI, analytics, and data science workloads.
  • Design and deliver end-to-end data solutions across ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics, leveraging Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, and related services.
  • Develop proofs of concept, prototypes, and demos to evaluate new technologies—especially within the Azure and Databricks ecosystem—understanding their strengths, limitations, and ideal use cases.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts in an accessible, engaging manner for audiences ranging from executives to junior engineers, fostering trust, clarity, and excitement.
  • Continuously learn and adapt by exploring emerging tools, patterns, and best practices, ensuring your approaches stay fresh, effective, and relevant.
  • Collaborate with other internal technical leaders, sharing discoveries and dividing research efforts to help our teams remain at the forefront of modern data platforms and solutions.
  • Contribute to presales efforts and thought leadership activities—including proposals, presentations, public-facing content, and community events—demonstrating credibility and inspiring confidence.

Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in architecting and delivering data solutions on Azure, with significant experience using Azure Databricks for data transformations and analytics.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data transformation, complemented by broad knowledge of data platforms, data lakes, and analytical frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, encouraging growth, collaboration, and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of generating enthusiasm and understanding about technology at all organizational levels.
  • Hands-on approach, demonstrated through building prototypes, POCs, and evaluating cutting-edge technologies.
