The Intern supporting the Solution Lead team will be a member of the US Navy SMIT Growth Team, responsible for providing technical support for solution, services, and processes that address organizational and customer specific business needs. Duties may include conducting research on technical equipment, services, and developing process and reports to support business processes and customer solutions. The successful candidate will interpret document requirements, create basis of materials, write reports, and work with internal teams to revise and implement processes using internal tools (e.g., Sales Force, PowerBI).  Further, the candidate may support development of concept of operations and associated process for either internal business process, solutions, in supporting individual Solution Leads, management, or other parts of the SMIT proposal organization.

We are looking for candidates that are available to work part-time during the semester for 20 hours per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support Solution Lead Manager is documenting and implementing changes in solutioning process.
  • Work with internal Sales Force and Power BI teams to update, modify, and create new automation flows that support solutioning.
  • Support individual Solution Leads in developing and documenting concept of operations for individual opportunities as assigned.
  • Conduct research on specific support equipment (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper) and services (e.g., cyber, AWS, and Azure) as assigned.
  • Support other parts of the SMIT proposal program to optimize processes related to solutioning and reporting.
  • Ensures proposed solutions are executable and may be delivered efficiently and effectively to the satisfaction of the client

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in a related field of study from an accredited college/university.
  • Experience in technologies related to networking (routing and switching protocols).
  • Experience in cyber security technologies including block chain and encryption.
  • Experience in Information Technologies and programming related to object-oriented program, web programming (Java, C++), as well as experience with command line programming.
  • Industry certifications related to networking (e.g., CCNA), cyber (e.g., CT, CISSO), and IT (e.g., CPA).
  • Background in documenting an implementing requirements.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities required to communicate and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analysis skills, with the ability to identify and improve processes and determine needs to successfully deliver solutions in short turnaround timeframes
  • Able to multi-task, self-assign work, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Utilization of tools such as SharePoint, MS Project, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to succinctly communicate concepts and requirements to others.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to create original content using interview and research techniques.
  • Candidates must be a US citizen

  • Ability to remain upbeat, positive, and constructive within a dynamic environment operating under high-pressure deadlines

Pay Range:

Pay Range $44,850.00 - $81,075.00
